Hello!
I just have discovered your products after a days spent on the search of better keyboard/mouse (now have natural microsoft keyboardand some hand shaped logitech) and was shocked by what is developed here! I am using lots of keyboard shortcuts in my 3d/2d software, mostly using shift, ctrl and other combinations of these keys.
I am currently surfing though your website, but I am already almost completely sure that I would purchase touchscream lp. I would like to ask one question, probably simple.
I am doing 3d modeling work mostly, and in program what I use (Lightwave 3D) there are 3 main shortcuts for 3d space orientation - alt+lmb (rotate), shift+alt+lmb (pan), ctrl+alt+lmb (zoom).
Also there are important ctrl+shift+lmb/mmb/rmb shortcuts that pop submenus.
Can you confirm that I could map these combinations to get easier use with touchscream? Can you give some examples? I am looking in pdf file with combinations and I can see shift, ctrl but not multiple keystroke combos. Also I do not know if it is possible issue like specific program disables mouse gestures. Lightwave does not have not windows-like gui (but acts in window).
Also, I work on dual monitors, can you confirm that your product works without problems with such config?
Please forgive me, maybe I should go deep into software search, but I would like to get confirmation about configuration options for these shortcuts now to order keyboard as soon as possible :). Please forgive my English, I am not native speaker.

I do not have any experience wiith Lightwave 3D but it should not be a problem at all to map those key/mouse combinations to gestures. I use some similar combinations in a 3D cad package.
I this is the set up I use, a modified Maya layout that works fine spin, pan, zoom are done with hold control and drag with mb3,mb2, mb1 respectively. I have these mapped to the Maya orbit (Pro pan) and Maya pan (Pro spin) where expansion/contraction of both does zoom.

Unfortunately I can not comment on dual monitors. :( I only have one.

Meantime I already have found what I needed, I have installed software without keyboard in "demo mode". There are all keystroke combos possible with mygesture editor :)
I am just waiting for some comments on dual monitor work from someone out there ;)

I have a dual monitor setup but I can't imagine what your concern is to address it directly. These products just mimic standard keyboard and mouse events so I don't see how there would be any sort of problem. Can you elaborate?

Yes, I am asking because of past problem with pointing device.
I had some problems with graphics tablet and dual setup - I mean aspect ratio of tablet area was not the same like in dual mon. In standard dual monitor setup it is rather wide area (two monitor resolution added). As I remember (it was some time ago) I had to limit area of tablet to get proper ratio.
Now I use tablet only on main screen, where something like photoshop is on and for second screen operation other I use mouse.
In my case it is more complicated, my main monitor is in standard position (horizontal) and second is like A4 page and different res (nvidia drivers has this 90 rotation option built).
So I am wondering how fingerworks device would act with something like this. I can see both parts of keyboard are rather square in its shape and wondering how this all would work.
I hope I am understable :)

While not having first hand experience, I don't think there would be any trouble. The Touchstream isn't an absolute pointing device like a tablet, its relative like a mouse or ordinary touchpad.

Ah, I see your concern now. I have a Wacom tablet and have to use the application custom settings to get it to "aspect" properly for some things myself. As Belgabor pointed out though, these devices use relative positioning so you won't have that problem here.

I will say that I wish the device was a little taller though (more square). There are times when I'd like to thumb down for a click event but can't comfortably because my pointing fingers are to low on the pad at that point. Also, to get consistent recognition of some of the spread finger gestures, I've had to tune it for "large" hands. The only down side is that I have to put my fingers all the way to the edges for some gestures now (just a little more room would be nice). Actually, I'm thinking of abandoning the middle+ring+pinky+thumb versus index+middle+ring+thimb gestures all together since the pad seems to easily confuse them for me. That should allow me to reduce the hand size setting again.

Thanks for all info, I already have ordered the keyboard.
I hope all these advantages will speed up my work. Will describe impressions in a few days :)
