On Linux 2.4.26 the mouse function of the TouchStream is dying after a longer pause of usage (usually the first night) or when replugging the TS (after using it at another PC for example) - ie. I boot 2.4.26, everything works, I go to bed and when I go to the PC the next morning only keyboarding works, not mousing. Replugging etc. doesn't help, only reboot does.
Back on 2.4.24 it works fine all the time. Haven't tried 2.4.25.
Has anyone seen this?

One thing I found on both is that when first touching the TS after a longer usage pause (like over night) the syslog shows unplug and then plug events of all the devices of the TS. In case of 2.4.26 the plug event is missing there and so the mouse functionality is gone.
Is this replug thing something the TS does (like resetting itself on its own at times)?

It's supposed to replug itself after a couple weeks (as its internal timers rollover--a W2K reboot :) but not necessarily each night. But we probably wouldn't notice because drivers normally reload on replug! That's the problem you want to look into.

I'm meanwhile using 2.4.27 and the alternate UHCI driver (aka JE driver) with no problems. :)
