I came back to my cube and sat down. Just as I reached out to type my password into w2k's login screen, characters started appearing in the password field as if I were typing, then the mouse pointer started crawling. If it had gone to the OK button and clicked, I would have assumed that somebody somehow was remote controlling my ThinkPad. The mouse pointer started twitching around with no apparent intent, so I figured that I must have somehow given my workspace and the keyboard a static charge as I sat down. I did the hand slap reset, and the ghosts seemed to go away. This was quite weird.
