I've grown quite used to using handwriting recongnition on my Ericsson 380s. It's similar to the Palm handwriting mode, except that you don't have to constrain yourself to writing inside a box, and the recognition is quite good.

Ever since i lost my set of styluses the first week (!), i've grown quite used to using my index finger for writing. It works quite fine, and i'd like to be able to do this with my Touchstream as well. I'm not sure that it would be a needful function, but it would be nice nevertheless, and maybe even fun. :)

Currently we do not have "hand writing recognition" built into our keyboards nor do plan to implement it in the foreseeable future, but this is a project that someone could do independently with the SDK.

Is there any more news on Inkwell support for OS X?

Actually, it seems like this feature is in-built in Windows 2000/XP.

Check out this link (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;278927)

But the recipe from Microsoft didn't work for me...could not find all of the mentioned items in their instruction list. Yet someone else might have more luck.
