I just ordered an igesture pad online and then came here....

Should I be concerned that I will get no support if something goes wrong? Do these things often have problems?

So sad....it seems like a great product. Really great.

Yes and no. The iGesture pads have no moving parts (except the calbe), so they're really sturdy! As for support and warranty, you're not likely to get it from Fingerworks. But there's a user community (see signature) that can help you with your questions.

thanks. But do they still repair items under warranty or am I on my own if I get a faulty unit?

Only FW can answer that, but judging by how little we have heard from them since they were bought, I wouldn't guess at any support being left. We're on our own....
